I need your support for my GRAMMY Ride
Grammy Rides Across America for Climate Action
Read my climate story here.
September 1 – November 23, 2024, I am riding a self-contained 3200-mile Climate Ride Independent Challenge fundraising bicycle trip called: the GRAMMY Ride – Grammy Rides Across America for Climate Action to raise $500,000 for five local and national climate action organizations.

I recently turned 66 years old, and ever since I was 18 years old in 1976, I have wanted to ride my bicycle across America. Over the years, I have ridden tens of thousands of miles on my bicycle, and because I am not getting any younger, I am plunging toward this Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) before I get too old to make it happen!

Adding to my BHAG, I have set an ambitious goal to raise $500,000 and community awareness for sustainable climate solutions and active transportation. My BHAG is called the GRAMMY Ride because, as a Grammy to three precious grandchildren, I am regularly thinking about how to make our world a better place for my grandchildren, your grandchildren, and everyone’s children as well as for us!

For 12 weeks, I will be cycling with my long-time bicycling friend, Becky Bolander, from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL to support five fiscally responsible climate action organizations to improve our and our planet’s future:
Climate Generation
Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light
Third Act
Climate STARR (Climate Strategies for Trauma, Action, Resilience, and Regeneration)
Climate Ride
I am covering all my personal trip costs, so 100% of the contributions toward my $500,000 BHAG will support climate justice action from money I received from my parents when my father died in February 2020. My self-contained bicycling adventure is a physical, mental, and financial challenge - so I need the help of others like you and your thousands of climate action friends! I invite you to share my story with your community so others can participate with generous giving, inspiration, and thoughts and prayers.

Although I am a solid, sturdy cyclist, I will need all the psychological and spiritual help I can get! Together, we can work for good things to happen for the future of our life together on MotheEarth.

Make a secure online donation to GRAMMY Ride today by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You will automatically receive an acknowledgment, and I will be notified by text and email of your generous support. Contact me at [email protected] for instructions for donor advised fund giving. Purpose feeds our dignity. Let's do this together. Yes!!!!

Cheers to a healed, healthier planet,

P.S. Thanks to the Climate Ride Team for allowing me to make the GRAMMY Ride a Climate Ride Independent Challenge.
