The solution to everything: Ride Bike!

It's hard to know how to contribute to the change our world so obviously needs. But I gotta do something, and the bicycle is my tool. So I'm riding to Washington DC, where Nancy and I will hope to meet with our elected officials, and bring our message to save our nation and our world.

What I love about Climate Ride is that money raised goes to community organizations, supporting grass-roots work in the places that need it most.

The Scraper Bike Team has provided youth and community development programs in East Oakland for over 15 years. Your donation will help the team implement its vision for a Scraper Wellness Center in East Oakland; a safe place for youth and community members to learn bike skills, mechanics skills, and life practices.

Anchored by a legacy BART car, the Scraper Wellness Center will be an iconic, transformative project for a neighborhood that needs healthy gathering places. 

The Scraper Bike Team is working to meet a $50K challenge grant from the Bolger Foundation; your contribution will unlock even more funds for the community.
