In 2007 Greg Dalton took a trip to the Russian Arctic, having no idea how profoundly his life was about to change. Upon returning home, he put together a slide show of the beauty he had witnessed while reflecting on the science he had learned, and found his first-hand exposure to the effects of climate change heartbreaking. Sitting at his kitchen table, now face to face with the peril ahead, he cried and cried and cried. But then instead of accepting what seemed to be inevitable defeat, he resolved to do something about it by creating Climate One at The Commonwealth Club.
Ten years later, Climate One is a thriving leadership dialogue on energy, economy, and the environment. It brings together top thinkers and doers from business, government, academia and advocacy groups to advance the discussion about a clean energy future.
In the last decade Greg and his team brought together leaders such as Jane Goodall, Yvon Chouinard, Gina McCarthy, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Tom Steyer, Christiana Figueres, among many more. Climate One also traveled to Paris where Greg hosted a group of sub-national leaders discussing what could be done at the regional level to help combat climate change. The dialogue we support at Climate One is essential to changing the conversation, and we pride ourselves on the fact that it is a forum open and accessible for the public to attend in person, in addition to being available as a free podcast. We also air on public radio and television stations across the country and around the world, reaching millions of listeners. By supporting our team, you are supporting our inclusive effort to find the solution to a problem that affects us all.
Thank you for donating to the Climate One, Climate Ride Team!
With gratitude,
