For the first time, I'm doing Climate Ride in California and the excitement i'm feeling is on a level I can't explain. I am also the Training captain for Team LACBC and I am doubly excited to be a part of our mile by mile, team building process.
Cycling has been an integral part of me since I was a kid and the environment has given me so much joy and I truly hope my involvement this year is a well placed gesture in the realm of giving back.
This year, each Team LACBC participant will be riding from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo. Yep! On 2 wheels, with no motor. I know, crazy! It's a challenge I couldn't pass up and I can't stop thinking about all the camaraderie and awesome photos we're going to have when we finish.
With your assistance, I'll be raising money, through climate ride, to help resolve many of our serious sustainability issues. My primary beneficiary will be the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition along with our chapter, BikeCulverCity for which I am also the Current Chairman.
I have always believed that the best way I can help protect the environment and reduce our carbon footprint is via my daily transport choices. I ride a bike or take transit (or both) most of the time to get around.
Your generous donation is an investment to help support a healthier, safer future and will help my beneficiaries, LACBC and BikeCulverCity, work to make this a reality.
You can make a secure online donation by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You'll automatically receive an acknowledgment and I will be notified by email of your support.
....And please, ask your friends to make a donation on my behalf and/or follow me as I cycle 300 miles from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo at https://twitter.com/ridetimecycling beginning June 9th at 10am.
Thank you graciously for your help!
