Support Me

My 15-year-old son Jack and I are riding in our second Climate Ride together (and this will be my third). This year, we will be participating in the Green Fondo Northern California on May 13-14th. We plan to ride 167 miles over two days in the beautiful hills of Sonoma County, just north of San Francisco.

Please support our effort to raise funds and awareness for sustainable climate solutions, community spaces, and active transportation! Some days it can be hard to know how you can help in this cause. By supporting our efforts right now, you will truly make a difference.

You can make a secure, tax-deductible donation today by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You'll automatically receive an acknowledgment, and we will be notified by email of your support. Better yet, all fundraising (beyond the minimum threshold that we have exceeded) will be doubled by the generous support of the Algorand Foundation.

We're riding to raise funds for two great local nonprofits, Walk San Francisco and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, that advance healthy communities while addressing climate change. Both organizations played instrumental roles in late 2022 saving the JFK Promenade, keeping the Great Highway car-free on weekends, and making permanent a network of slow streets (community spaces with local, slow car traffic only). They joined other nonprofits to form the People's Slow Street Campaign to expand the existing slow streets into a citywide 100-mile network and benefit Equity Priority Communities through public investments and community-led processes. The city integrated the campaign's goals into its policy for slow streets.

Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in a healthy, safe, and equitable future, giving hope to Jack's generation.

Thank you for your support!

Jack and Matt

P.S. Climate Ride events are unique and life-changing experiences. Their organization delivers millions of dollars in grants each year to nonprofits in the fields of bike advocacy, conservation, and climate solutions around the U.S.
